BCZT is a lead-free piezoelectric material derived from Barium Titanate (BaTiO3), which exhibits a piezoelectric coefficient at room temperature (d33 ~ 400-500 pC/N) comparable to commercial PZT. Its electromechanical coupling coefficient k33 can reach up to 0.65, with a relative dielectric constant of 4000 and dielectric loss below 0.02. Furthermore, its theoretical density (5.7 g/cm3) is significantly lower than that of PZT (7.8 g/cm3), making it a preferred choice for transducers and actuators, especially suitable for implantable medical devices.
